Working in Earlville
This is flat, heavy prairie farm ground. There is not much timber, so what grows in is fence rows, drainage ditches, creek banks along Indian Creek and the groves around old farmsteads.
That is what we get called for: fence rows and field edges cleared so they can be farmed up to, ditch banks and waterways cleaned out, farmstead groves cleaned up, and gravel drives and lanes cut in or repaired.
We are in Mendota regularly, and Earlville is the same trip.
What we get called for here
- Forestry Mulching. Standing brush and saplings ground into cover in one pass. Nothing burned, nothing hauled.
- Right-of-Way Clearing. Fence rows, field edges, trails and utility corridors put back to passable.
- Land Clearing. Wooded or neglected acreage opened back up for pasture, food plots, or a building site.
- Driveway & Dirt Work. New rock drives cut in, washed-out ones regraded and re-stoned.

What does a job cost?
It depends on acreage, how thick the growth is, how big the material is, the terrain, and how hard the site is to get equipment into. Two properties of the same acreage can be a full day apart in work. That’s why estimates are free and why it’s worth looking at the ground rather than quoting off a map.
Do you work year-round?
Yes. Mulching and clearing carry on through the colder months, and winter is often the better time for it — the ground is firm, there are no leaves in the way, and you can see what you’re working with. Snow plowing runs through the same season.
How long does a job take?
Small jobs — a fence row, an overgrown lot, a driveway regrade — are often a day or less. An acre of heavy, mature growth takes considerably longer than an acre of light brush. You’ll get a realistic time estimate along with the price, not an optimistic one.
Do I need to be there while the work is done?
Not usually. What matters is that the boundaries are clear and we agree beforehand on exactly what’s coming out and what’s staying. Marking anything you want left — a good tree, a well head, a buried line, a property pin — is time well spent.

We Look at the Ground

The Work Gets Done
